Road fund license

Just arrived home to find the demand for the next twelve months of road tax. There it was, sitting on the hall carpet, complete with complimentary tissue to wipe away the tears. It's for our motorhome, which is old and rather large, which makes it about as green as an oil rig fire in Texas. Surely, with all the rises in tax justified on environmental grounds, we were in for a hammering. I looked at the amount on the form, £175.00! I think it's actually gone down this year. So thank you Mr Brown, I still won't be voting for you in the next election, but I feel this has been a small victory in a rather large battle. The DVLA is going to get a bunch of flowers from me this year, just hope they don't blow them up.

We didnt do ours intentionally but when we went out looking for a decent vehicle to tow with that david would drive, we ended up getting our Toyota HiLux 4x4 pickup (we have since bought the extra body shell too) one of those indestructible chuck it off a cliff, sink it in a canal, blow it up and the engine still starts on Top Gear trucks!

The bonus being that it this vehicle is classed as a Commercial Vehicle and so when the new absurd road fund fee's went up, The fee only went up by
