Robin has acquired my trailer

Hope the parents come back now the nest has been inadvertently disturbed. We had a Robins nest in our garden waste wheeliebin. We didn’t know it was there until we lifted the lid to cram some more stuff in. We left it hurriedly including ensuring the branch which had propped the lid open slightly was in place.
Sadly the nest was abandoned.

Being a bird lover and breeder of birds since the age of 8 good of you as our wild birds need all the help available 👍. One hatched they will appreciate a few dried Mealworms placed a few feet away from the nest,
I have a bag of said worms i picked up from Home bargains, just wondering best place to put them without attracting predatory attention 🤔

Its more common than you think , this is a clip from a video a fellow engineer posted when turning up to do a service

I have a Blackbird nesting in a box and also like to feed the birds, but the Blackbird does come to the feeder but will get very close when doing a bit of tidying on garden, What would you suggest for the Blackbird, am I right in thinking the female has light brown feathers.

We had a Robin nest in a flower container but unfortunately we had not spotted it and a cat got them. First we knew of it were feathered chicks almost ready to fledge. Surprisingly even the dog wasn't aware of them and there is not much passes her by.

Yes female Brown and male Black. When young leave nest Brown as mother, until first moult.
We often have Mallard Ducks nest in garden underneath bushes, as we have Grand Union Canal at bottom of the garden.
