Roseland Peninsular Cornwall

Having lived in St Mawes 35 years ago, we thought we would go back and see how things have changed (assuming the weather is OK by September!).

Can anyone comment on the relative merits of Trethem Mill and Treloan Coastal Farm sites?

Jo

Hi Jo

I dont know about either site but stayed at Merrose farm at port scatho it was a very ggod site usual excellent CC standards, the wardens were very good would reccomend it

Would agree with Robfooty, Trethem Mill is excellent. We stay there regular. Used to stay at Merrose until we discovered Trethem which is 2 miles nearer to St Mawes. It is best to book though. From memory Treloan is a rough sort of farm site.

We recced Trethem Mill back in June on one of the rare days that the sun shone. We were so taken with it that we booked a couple of weeks there next June.

It's secluded and sheltered and beautifully manicured. The couple running it are really nice and were most welcoming.

I don't have to comment on the area as you know it and I can't imagine that it has changed all that much in the intervening years.

We can't wait to get down there - talk about wishing your life away.........

Trethem Mill is one of the nicest sites we have stayed on. The park and the facilities are fantastic. Very large dog meadow if you have a dog, close to the king harry ferry, peaceful and quiet. Its popular so book early.
