Route to Cornwall

We are going to go to The Lizard Area of Cornwall in our caravan on Sunday.

We know the way there but are wondering what is the most caravan friendly route?

The way we know is from penzance which is way out of the way so can anyone suggest a caravan friendly route preferably avoiding Truro town centre (which is the only other way I sort of know).

Tried the route planners but cant find one with a caravan option & our sat nav doesnt have the option either.

Hi Lisa, we came back from there yesterday , had no problems in fact had a good journey using the A30 then A303, M3 ,M25 and so on.Have a good time , hope your weather will be better than what we had.

Lisa, you can leave the A30 at Carland cross roundabout. (where the windmills are next to the road) Signposted Truro, Drive through Truro following signs for Falmouth. Once through Truro on the way to Falmouth (do not go to Falmouth) follow signs to Helston and onto Lizard.

We used to live in Helston and would not go all the way to Penzance to come back to helston, you will save yourselfat least an hour.
