Travelling south to a site near Toulon. After much discussion on toll charges via Reim ,Dijon,Lyon,on forum I am thinking of taking Rouen, Clermont-Ferrand, Millau then across to Montpellier

,Marseille, Toulon. Is this worth it Toulon being further across ? If so any ideas for stop over campsites. Sorry to labour the point but trying to save every penny this year !

Many Thanks

Good easy to find site at Orcet just south of Clermont Ferrand and also one by the river in Millau - going south turn off to Millau before you get to the bridge and follow the main road through the town - not too narrow. At a roundabout about half way through, turn left over the river bridge and the site is immediately to you left on the other bank of the river. incidentally this will save you a hefty too for crossing the bridge particularly in high season.

The bridge is well worth seeing, however and there is an excellent visitor centre right under the centre span.
