Hi to all,
Having started with tents back 40 odd years or so, we worked our way up through trailer tents.
Then on to a number of tintops...Rapido..Adria..then returned to a Conway Crusader for the last 4 years.
The one big problem we found with the folding camper was making sure the canvas was dry enough to fold away. Last year while up in north Lincs ...(raining) we decided it was time to change back to a tintop, so here we are now the owners of a beautiful Challanger 540.

We've been away 3 weekends in the last month or so....we love her...and we're away next weekend as well. B)

Welcome to the Forum Icefever.
I have been a dedicated tourer fan for a good few years now but do still occasionally venture out with a tent.
Best wishes Brian.

A warm welcome to you Icefever.
Trailer tents were great with bags of room even if a bit basic.
My old N R Nimrod from the late 70s gave us many good holidays.
Caravanning makes life so much easier for an old dog B)

Welcome.
I was a tenting camper up until September of last year when we bought our first caravan. Admittedly My parents had a caravan back in the 70s and early 80s but this is my first caravan. We did consider a folding camper but as you say, you get the same problems as you do with the tent in having to make sure that it is dry before you pack it all away.
