I have an 80cm dish the skew angle is for the uk -13.3
when I went to calais france without any adjustment to the skew I caught the regular english channels

As I went to koln in germany started to lose stations but still caught a few
again in austria still caught a few english channels but not all.

So my question is how far can you travel without adjusting the skew
and if you did adjust the skew could you catch all english channels even as far as villach austria.
Warrington skew -13.3
calais -12.3
koln -8.9
munich -6.9
villach -5.7

There is a good map that shows the skews, even regions within the UK. It is not std 13.3. This also leads you to a site to enable you to check the settings for all of Europe.

It help me, I follow what it says (with my little compass and bleepy thing) I can set up in 10 min. I have found getting the ‘mast’ vertical is one of the most important things

I think the issue is less one of skew angle but more the actual footprint of the satellite. Astra 28°E has a footprint that is heavily biased towards the British Isles so the further you are away the weaker the signal, regardless of skew angle.
Using a 60cm dish we have watched German TV on Astra 19.2°E throughout Europe from the Arctic Circle to Gibraltar and as far west as the Ring of Kerry. I've never had to make adjustments to the skew angle wherever we have been, only for elevation.

It could be said that the further away from the UK the more accurate you have to be.

In the Costa Azhar region of Spain you can get excellent reception for all UK digital signals but your margins of error are less than here in the UK. So it becomes more important to get the skew correct.

I use a pro meter and always tweek the skew angle for the highest reading when setting up on a tripod for friends etc
I very rarely bother on my roof mounted dish though
