Hi, just wondered if there are any sat nav experts in the forum?
I have a 7in chinese DVD/satnav/tv and recently touched something on screen while driving and seem to have switched off the GPS connection.
When entering an address or postcode a message says "cannot find path - maps are isolated" and the voice keeps repeating "GPS is disconnected"
There are no satellites visible on the search screen.
It runs iGo My Way 8.3.4 and worked perfectly until recently???
Any ideas please.......

Thanks for the suggestions but have already tried these.
I seemed to have managed to disconnect the gps from finding satellite links so have emailed the manufacturer for advise.
Thanks again though for replying.
Lada.

Hi Lada.
Give the forum address a try below.

I've got a Tomtom that always switches it's self on all by it's self despite several repair patches from Tomtom, and if you don't hear the glovebox talking to it's self, you end up witha flat battery just when you need tomtit as we've rebranded ours. If I know I'm going to need tommy for the last 5 miles, I have to stop about 40 miles away from destination to put the dammed thing on charge.

Hi All - Found a website called "FixMyGPS" and got brilliant help from a member in Australia on how to wipe files from the SD card and downloaded updated files which worked.
Sat Nav now fully operational and even for a complete novice like me I managed to follow the instructions OK.
Thanks for the advice though
Regards
LADA.

Hi All, My mate at work took this family on a camping hoilday to Somerset, he ask me hour long will it take to get there I reply last time we went a good 4 hours, Ah that fine he said put the post code on the Sat Nav,
When he got back I ask how did it go then, I not going to use the bad word he use he said £$%^& thing in the dust bin I ask what happen, it took him nearly 8 hour to get there, he said the Sat Nav took them all over England as the post code was similar to other post code, I just laugh and said you can't beat the good old map my chap !!! Very funny Trevor - liked that.
Although my super duper sat-nav gives a full screen shot of your full journey when you put in a postcode I still carry my trusted AA Atlas in the boot - just in case!
