I am surprised that sites don't have pitches with satellite dishes already set up. For a small charge say 50p per night they would soon make a profit on initial outlay.Think how much easier it would be to just plug in to your freesat or sky box.

Most fully serviced pitches on the Continent have a satellite TV connection, too. The only thing is that their dishes are set up only for Astra on 19.2

We don't go away to sit and watch TV we can do that at home. We like to get out and about. But Hey each to their own. parhaps a central dish and just a hookup on each pitch would be good for those people who would use it

CC affiliated site at Grantown On Spey has satellite sockets on its serviced pitches. For a small fee you can also hire a sky box.

i also like to go out and about , but as i only sleep about 6 hours a night ,i would have to be out and about for about 17 hours a day , so please let us all know how many hours you are actually out and about , personally i go away for my own enjoyment ,not how other people think i should enjoy it

Chances are that the council in any area would not give permison to put up that many dishes. Of course one central dish on the main building could service all pitches. Most have a cable running to the stand points anyway so not much more outlay. That is unless they have SKY and then would have to pay a hefty licence fee.

A few years ago we stayed at a site up in Siloth and that had a video sender type system and the pitches that were next to the club house could get the film channels then.

Don't worry, it'll be years before they invest that much.

Anyway how about all those lovely CLs; you'll need your own dish there.

Cheers

True Dusty. We are going to try one when we change the van for end washroom next year, wife found it hard to shower in our firestar wet room and she's only nine stone wet through no bloody chance for me and know l am not going to reveal my size or weight, tried the sterling Searcher and Coral l could shower in both those vans, so got best part of this year to look at all twin wheeler end washroom vans to make our minds up.

By the way had a great weekend at Blacks haw Moore CC (Leek), couldn't get in at Grin Low Buxton, some great walking for you Springer's over the roaches.
