satellite reception

Looking for guidance on satellite dish size that would be effective in the north of Scotland.

Use the "Bible" www.satelliteforcaravans.co.uk. If it isn't on there, it isn't worth knowing.My 60cm dish worked superbly on Sky near Aberdeen.

Our Multimo works fine up in Dalchalm, just north of Brora.

I've had a Sky Mini-Dish for 3 years now which we take with us, bought it on Ebay and simply take our home box with us. We've never had a problem with reception even when we went to my sisters house in the Loire Valley, even though various websites say that you need at least a 60cm dish that far south. I've got pretty good at finding the satelite now simply using the strength meter built into the Sky settings. The vertical angle takes the time to find, in Scotland the dish will need to be almost vertical as the satelite will be very low in the sky.
