hello to all, just recently i have taken off my cover after the winter, all my windows appear to be slightly scratched by the cover moving about, they are not really deep and the onlyway i can describe them is to say that they appear to look like hand prints on the windows, but when i treid to clean them the marks were still their.

has anybody had this before and what kind of products are available to hopefully get them off

thanks to all for the anticipated replys glen

Hi,

I use a bit of Brasso on a soft cloth and use circular motions until the Brasso is rubbed in. works a treat,

Cheers,

I would agree with Jim - used Brasso on the plastic rear windows of both my Zephyr convertable and A.H. Sprite and it worked a treat - brought the windows up as new.

Brasso was always the polish of choice for acrylic when I was doing me 'A' Level design - though I'm sure the other products mentioned here are just as good, if not better.

I read somewhere that one way of preventing caravan covers from scratching your windows was to first put cling-film on the windows before applying the cover.

Sounds like a bit of a pain in the proverbial to me, but I thought I'd pass it on to those who have a cover.

Never ever put cling-flim on acrylic windows, as you could end up with fractured windows.
