Scratches On Windows

Hi

We've just taken our porch awning down which unfortunately comes down the lounge window and due to the highwinds the sides have moved about so much that I now have a line of scratches down the middle of the window . Will we have to have the plastic window replaced or can you buy anthing that will cover them.
any advice appreciated
Kind Regards

Annie

Hi Annie
It might be possible to remove the worst of the scratches.
There is a product called Windowize available or alternatively you could use T cut or Brasso liquid, either of these products with lots of elbow grease (or a rotary polisher) may help.

I bought one of these last year to polish the whole of the van, ( roof & windows included ) & as it's only 12v I plug it into the van to use it, the cloth pads are washable, ( buy some spare's ) & make it easy

Hi Annie,
I had a few scratches across every window on one side trying to avoid some pill*ck driving too fast on a narrow road. I found some stuff called Xerapol on Fleabay and it workrd a treat. Its a plastic polishing paste made in Germany, not cheap but cheaper than a new window.
