Can anyone recommend a winter seasonal pitch in Norfolk.
Since originally joining, our lives have turned upside down. Our landlord had not kept up with the mortgages on his properties and our house was reposessed, leaving us homeless. We won't have a hope of getting our deposit back. Happily, we were able to find a good caravan in the nick of time. A 4 berth Adria. It has a shower room, wardrobe space and a reasonable galley. We made sure that everything worked. The caravan was fine underneath, we got under with a torch and poked and prodded everywhere. We looked at the caravan buyers guide, printed off the check list thing and went through the van as throroughly as we possibly could. Chap selling was a dealer who had taken the van in part exchange, was perfectly happy for us to look at whatever we wanted. He filled up the water tank so we could see all the taps and shower working. The water pump had seized so he replaced it. He checked the gas appliances too. We lit the grill and both the burners. The fridge got turned on and we waited about until it got cold. During our good look about, it poured with rain, absolute stair rods, and there were not leaks. The caravan smelt normal, no smell of damp. Its been well looked after. It needed 2 new tyres but he only had one in stock. We managed to get one from our local tyre place a couple of days later.
We have added a portaloo and a lot of belongings now. As the house has gone, we had no way of renting another at such short notice. Our business was on its knees anyway, finally got clobbered by the recession, so we have decided to move back to East Anglia. At the moment, we are camping in Sister's back garden, for a few days, about 1/3 of the way from where we were, to where we are heading. After all the stress and worry, we are having a bit of a break, by the sea side for free. We took posession of a nice Porch Awning today, a Riviera Horizon 260 Porch Awning. We've put it up with a minimum of swearing and a lot of laughing. We know for sure that we have enough pegs. There were loads with the awning and the caravan had a big box full when we bought it.
We now just need a nice place, that accepts dogs, to winter over in Norfolk.
