Seasonal Pitches in Norfolk, any recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a winter seasonal pitch in Norfolk.

Since originally joining, our lives have turned upside down. Our landlord had not kept up with the mortgages on his properties and our house was reposessed, leaving us homeless. We won't have a hope of getting our deposit back. Happily, we were able to find a good caravan in the nick of time. A 4 berth Adria. It has a shower room, wardrobe space and a reasonable galley. We made sure that everything worked. The caravan was fine underneath, we got under with a torch and poked and prodded everywhere. We looked at the caravan buyers guide, printed off the check list thing and went through the van as throroughly as we possibly could. Chap selling was a dealer who had taken the van in part exchange, was perfectly happy for us to look at whatever we wanted. He filled up the water tank so we could see all the taps and shower working. The water pump had seized so he replaced it. He checked the gas appliances too. We lit the grill and both the burners. The fridge got turned on and we waited about until it got cold. During our good look about, it poured with rain, absolute stair rods, and there were not leaks. The caravan smelt normal, no smell of damp. Its been well looked after. It needed 2 new tyres but he only had one in stock. We managed to get one from our local tyre place a couple of days later.

We have added a portaloo and a lot of belongings now. As the house has gone, we had no way of renting another at such short notice. Our business was on its knees anyway, finally got clobbered by the recession, so we have decided to move back to East Anglia. At the moment, we are camping in Sister's back garden, for a few days, about 1/3 of the way from where we were, to where we are heading. After all the stress and worry, we are having a bit of a break, by the sea side for free. We took posession of a nice Porch Awning today, a Riviera Horizon 260 Porch Awning. We've put it up with a minimum of swearing and a lot of laughing. We know for sure that we have enough pegs. There were loads with the awning and the caravan had a big box full when we bought it.

We now just need a nice place, that accepts dogs, to winter over in Norfolk.

Crikey Cyclebuffs, you've had more than your fair share of bad luck.
Sorry that I can't help with the seasonal pitch but I hope that somebody comes up with ideas, if you need any advice or help with the caravan just ask on the forum.
We have one or two very experienced full timers who use this forum (Steve in Leo is a regular) and I'm sure that you will be able to get some good advice.
Let's hope that your luck soon changes for the better

Thanks.
Its actually quite liberating not worrying about the state of the business and how we are going to pay the rent. For once we are not being kept awake at night with concerns about keeping our heads above water, keeping customers happy, sorting the bills on time etc.
Life will get better, how can it not? We are both "Glass half full" type people. I'll see if I can find some temp work to keep us in porridge for the winter. We have family and friends in the Norfolk area, it will be nice to see everyone more often, they cycling is good in Norfolk too, so there is definite incentive about going there.

Thanks. We have had a look and sent an email. We also found Grange CL site, which looks right up our alley.
Mr Cyclebuff has now expressed a preference for looking at Gt Yarmouth. Having grown up there, I cannot see the draw in going there, but HWMBO (or thinks he must be, at least) must be appeased :)

Are you aware that by law your deposit should have been protected and held in an account. if the LL never did thsi it is a criminal offence. Can I suggest that you log into http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/index.php for advice as you may be bale tor recover some of the deposit? In addition, you are a creditor and may be able to get some of the proceeds when the hous is sold.

Thank you for that advice Surfer.
To be honest, we are not fussed too much about the deposit as we left with an empty heating oil tank. We were supposed to leave with the heating oil tank topped up, which was how we got it. Given the 10 days or so notice, we took the decision to not top the tank up as it would have cost the same as the deposit. Also, there was no guarantee that, as creditors, that we would have got all our deposit back. We might have only got 5 - 20p in the £. We have heard that Landlord is going to make himself bankrupt so that he has to pay back less. We told the bailiff people this too and they said that it was probably the best idea as the bank don't care about whether the oil tank is full or not.
We are just glad to be out with all our stuff. Now we are installed in our van, we rather like it, despite the howling wind and torrential rain that we have been sleeping through.

Thanks all
We have found a nice site out on the Airport side of Norwich. Its a small site but with loos, showers, washing machine etc. There are 3 full time vans there, plus us and a holiday couple that are off in the next couple of days. The dogs are welcome and its an area we know well. Reasonably priced and we are chuffed to bits with it.
We are initially there for a month but if we like it, we will probably stay there. We are in a sheltered area and the other fulltimers are very friendly and welcoming.

I'm glad that you've got a site CB, with fellow full timers around you should be ok and I hope that everything works out well for you

Steve in Leo managed after some initial difficulty to get his local council to pay housing benefit so if you have any questions about that aspect of full timing he's your man!
I'm happy to forward your email address if you wish to converse privately off forum.
