Can anyone recommend a nice site that offers seasonal pitches either Lancashire or South Cumbria? I do not want to spend a fortune around £1000.00 inc. Winter Storage

You could try Wild Rose Caravan Park in Cumbria. They advertise in the back of the PC Magazine. We only delivered a van for a friend who is now seasonal on site. The toilet block looked OK but in my opinion it was not as good as the CC sites where you can get park and pitch for several months of the year.

We spent a couple of years on a seasonal pitch at South Meadows Caravan Park which also has indoor/outdoor winter storage. The facilities were very good. The site quiet and very well run. It had a cafe/restaurant on site, with takeaway if you preferred. It wasn't cheap but, then again, you only get what you pay for. It was located in Northumberland - 5 miles inland from Bamborough with its magnificent castle on the beach. 15 miles south of Berwick/15 north of Alnwick.

I'm afraid I cannot remember to website but if you type South Meadows Caravan Park, Belford, into Google it might throw it up for you.

I have a seasonal pitch (Winter and Summer)on Wild Rose in Cumbria and have been very impressed. The wardens are really lovely and make you very welcome and, sorry Ann your wrong, they do monthly seasonal pitches also! The park is divided up into different sections, each being different prices. Get the details, have a visit, see what you think, you'll be back! However, there is always a waiting list for seasonal pitches so that gives you some indication as to what it's like! Happy Caravanning!
