Hi sean

We have had 3 of theses cars and all have been great and reliable only faults we had on all of them is the air con and the remote locking and the tyres dont last that long (wifes says its the way i drive though) other than that there has been no problem, and they are very nice cars to drive and be driven in.we have a 2003 130bhp galaxy at the moment towing a bailey ranger 540/6 so not much lighter and its tows very well so if you go for the newer 140bhp it should pull lovely.I can highly rec a Alhambra.

Hi Sean I currently have the galaxay with 150 engine and have had both vw and seat in the past. My comments would be exactly the same as the other 2 except that I have had this car for 3 years now and the aircon is still okay yet.

On the point of the tyres I have tried various types over the years

best grip being Avon but they only lasted 8,000 miles, Continentals far too noisy so have ended up sticking with Michelin Premacy which have good grip and comfort as well as lasting about 15,000 miles.

Although all 3 cars are the same the suspension setup is different and I would say the Ford is the best compromise. The vw is the comfiest the seat rolls the least but suffers from vertical rebound the ford being in between the 2.

Also make sure that it has the blacked out windows as my vw did not and the climate used to struggle in France as it is a bit like having a mobile greenhouse. At the other end of the scale make sure it has the auxiliary rear heater as they can take quite a while to heat up in the winter.
