Ok, you lot seem sad enough to help so here goes.
Reading the posts on here it is apparent that traking systems are the best way to spot a caravan being moved. BUT they cost a lot and you have to pay for them to be monitored.
So, I am speaking to a manufacturer who builds a system that uses a pay as you go sim in it to sms the owner if the alarm goes off or the caravan is moved. It also allows tracking from a mobile phone. As my caravan is in storage some 20 miles away this may be the solution.
So what help do I need? Well simple, tell me why this is a bad idea. I know why it is a good one. Also, and it is early days yet. I may need some people who are willing to test it for me. the people who do this will need to be able to fit it themselves (connect a few wires) and provide a sim card.
Now if this works, I may consider selling it. What price would you consider fair? (I know £1 if fair, but be realistic) I don't have the purchase price yet but I do know we are not talking many hundreds of pounds.
Thanks
Steve
