Can anyone give me a heads up on this site please. Am visiting next week for 7 nights. Any advice please. We have seen earlier posts about traveller sites nearby. Is this a reality at present also as we have an energetic Spaniel will the dog walks be adequate and will beach access for dogs be permitted in the marina area.
Mamy thanks for any advice given.
Best regards and thanks for reading this.

Nice site, walking distance of Brighton town centre. local area is urban but site is located in park area, really nice, good dog walking area to the downs from site. We understand it can be busy/noisy on summer weekends but other than that a good site with lots to do. Travellers, no problem or seen, more about the drugies in Brighton but even there at least in daylight it is fine, enjoy. Dog walking, miles of local heath.

Hi Paul, Nice site. Never have I seen travellers in the vicinity. Plenty of people walk their dogs on the downs. Plenty to do in the local area. Enjoy it, Butler

Hi
Agree nice site, lots of space, and great for walking or bus into Brighton.
I have seen travellers nearby, up the hill near the racecourse.
Also, one the first occasion we were there the council were present in their trucks preparing to block the entrance to the park land approaching the site. This is beacause they had heard that travellers were on the way. If they can block access they save a lot of bother, and that is what they told me they were doing.
On a subsequent visit there were no sign of travellers when we arrived, but then the day we left a large group of travellers had cut through the metal barriers to the parkland, and moved about 15 large outfits onto the grassland, causing mud, ruts etc and only 200yds from the site entrance.
I guess in summary you take a gamble. This is a lovely site, but the adjoining park is clearly an attractive holiday destination for those that prefer not to pay for the pleasure.
