Why is it after all these years of caravaning technology improvements, that the industry still makes shower door support pins from PLASTIC !!!
Now surely with any caravan bouncing around on modern day pot holed roads would encourage them to make things a little bit more sturdier...
I'm now on my second set of pins... this time I'll be putting a metal strip support under it, as I'm getting feed up with opening the bathroom door only to find the shower once againlaying on its side.

These things cost £4.00 each time, plus the hassle of making good the door seal.

Come on guys get a grip...
sorry moan over

Thank God, I thought it was just me! My screen has came off with those stupid hinge end caps four times in the two years I've had my van, since brand new, it's a Lunar Quasar 525. My shower cubicle is now all scratched with the screen bouncing all around the cubicle after having broke off.
You would have thought they would have engineered a fix by producing these hinges in steel.

Hi Anton
Just replaced both top and bottom hinge end caps but this time also re-enforced with a strip of ally bar. Hopefully this ha cured our problem for now. Did notice at the Excel show that Swift have changed there desigh of the door mechanism, obviously they know there is a problem.

Hi Kev, where did you get replacement pins from? I have the same problem on my Quasar 546. The pins look like they form part of the bracket though rather than being seperate. I couldn't open the link to the picture you posted. Cheers, Rob.

Hi Rob

Leisureshopdirect.com
Is where I originally bought them, but that was some three years ago. If you can send them a photo they may still be able to help.
Regards
Kev....
