Shower leaking?

Hi I have A Swift 560 2021. Just got to a site and used mains water supply to the caravan for first time. Water started pouring out from the offside of the caravan above the wheel the shower unit is directly above it. Will the shower unit have to be removed to get at the pipes?

Sounds like one of the joints in the pipes feeding the shower might have been "blown" off by the excess pressure. The pipes can usually be accessed from a removable panel, trace the pipework heading towards your shower and have a close look to see if you have one.
I assume you didn't fit a pressure reduction device?? Caravan water pump pressure is a lot less than mains (as sadly, you appear to have discovered)

I presume when you say you used mains water pressure, you were using a proper pressure reducer device designed for caravans?

I have always used Aquaroll with float as I have seen on two occasions when people using the direct connection the pressure regulator failing to reduce the pressure. On both occasions I noticed water running out under the Caravans, One time the owner was in the Caravan and I knocked the door as they had not realised water was leaking, and the other time the owner was out and I turned the site tap off,

Yes using blue pipe with pressure reducer. Is this adjustable or was it just unlucky?
The pressure reducers are preset to the safe maximum value, and generally consistent. There have been a very few that have failed to limit their output pressure, with destructive consequences.

In your case it's more likely faulty workmanship during the assembly of the caravan.

The pros and cons of direct mains V mains via Aquaroll have been well voiced.
See this

Having been flooded many years ago I am still in the mains via Aquaroll camp.
On leaving the caravan we always switch off the pump. More of a chore to turn the tap off😉
