Shower tray installation websites?

Anyone seen any websites that give detailed instruction on the correct way to replace/install a shower tray? Mine has cracked, had to get a fibreglass one made but it's not quite flat. This means when you stand on it at flexes a little. This will not last long I fear so I need to glue it to a plywood sheet or something to stop it moving about before I fit it back in again. I was planning to use some spare mastic strips which I think would work? I just don't know how it's "supposed" to be done and can't find any websites or books on it either! Anyone care to point me in the right direction?

Mmmmm. No takers then. I thought it was just me!

In the end I called the Caravan club who were surprisingly helpful. They sent me a few photocopies of articles from old magazines etc and the tray now sits firmly without any flexing and the water does what it should be doing when the plug is pulled!

Glad you got it sorted, Wishlist, I have just seen the post and would have mentioned that mine was recently changed under warrentee. The only difference in the installations was the fact that Bailey did not glue the tray to the floor while my dealer did and it made for a much better job.

Mmmmm. Sadly my warranty ran out about 14 yrs ago! Interestingly, I thought while I was doing all this I would upgrade the entire drainage system to the solid 28mm dia pipe like some of the "better" new vans to avoid bits of food getting caught in the standard convoluted tubing and thus less likely to cause some unpleasant whiffs wafting up the plughole.

Bought all the sink and waste connection fittings glued everything thing in only to discover on my next visit to the dealer that they don't sell the solid pipes that go with the fittings! None of the local caravan dealers do in fact!

Nor do any of the local plumbers or DIY shops. In the end I ordered some from the Explorer group on the 28th of last month and they have yet to arrive.

I did however go to a B & Q super duper huge store in Farnborough the other day, and they did stock this mythical waste pipe. My Local B & Q did not. As I have placed the order already with the Explorer group I thought better to just wait it out! Still waiting!
