Hi, any ideas what would be the best site to stay at if visiting Wembley? We have got tickets for a show at Easter, because the show finishes late we would prefer to use the car rather than public transport. We are members of both clubs.

Also what about the congestion charge, how/when would we have to pay it.

Thanks Tigger

Hello tigger, I think you may be looking at quite a long drive after the show.

The only sites i know of are CC sites at Denham, Hemel hempstead or Welwyn ( see uk handbook)or a CL and a commercial site at Chalfont St Giles.

From memory if you approach Wembley from North Circular Road or anywhere further north you should not be anywhare near the congestion zone, but suggest you Google "congestions charge" to get latest.

From Wembley either Denham or Hemel Hempstead are easy to find.

I shall be interested to read other suggestions.

Hi Tigger.

From the Denham club site its better to go into Wembley by train or Hemel Hempstead Green line Coach or train and so no congestion charge.Jim

tigger,

Denham would be your best bet depending on what day the show is on a good run at the weekend the journey should be no more than 30 mins M40, A40 then onto the A406 wembley is well signposted and outside of the congestion zone so that won't affect you, if the show is midweek you would be best off getting public transport as the roads around that area can be mayhem, you can get the tube from Uxbridge (metropolitan line) to wembley park then a short walk.
