We usually stay at the Caravan Club at Balbirnie Park, Markinch but see that its closed for refurb until 1st August.

Can anyone please recommend a site in the Fife area - Nr St. Andrews would be nice.

Thank you.

We are missing Balbirnie too. Roll on August (we are booked in from 1 August!!) ... though they did say it may well be open before then (can't wait to see what they have done with the old place).

We are using a CL at Lower Largo this trip.

Thereis, or used to be, a site between Cupar and St Andrews. I have never been on it but used to drive past the entrance. It is, or was, a large site with probably statics as well. It is the only one I know of in that area, unless the CC or C&CC books show others. There are sites along the coast at Elie and Anstruther as well.

I would highly recommend Craigton Meadow caravan park which is just 2 miles from St Andrews it is a brilliant site with immaculate toilets and showers also the pitches are very spacious and well laid out. Hope this helps!

Many thanks Scotch Lad and Francis. Like the sound of Craigton Meadow. Will look further into this one.

Thank you for responding.

Safe towing.

Yes, Craigton was the name of it, but I could not remember. I admit the last time i passed that way was many many years ago. I was not sure if it was still on the go.

Thanks Cara Jane and Wanderer. We are also looking to go further north. If I know my husband we shall probably end up at Nairn.

Safe towing

Kind regards - Linda
