Has anybody heard of a company called sleeptight??

They are based in Liverpool and tried calling them many times including sending E-Mails to no avail.

I would appreciate it if anybody has another contact number for them

Thanks in advance

Had contact last year, around £800 for a caravn. I have been trying to find altenative providers of Proximity Alarms but none appear. Sleeptight seemed ok but a bit Mickey Mouse and they have not advetised/been at any of the shows. Can not work out why ??.
They could not add an alarm to the lights for activation after some set time or a reset so we decided not to. If you find an alternative do let us know . We travel to Spain etc and want a system to stop the damage rather than stoping the van after the damage.

Many thanks please let me know of any success with Proximity Sensors, guess you are after the same aims as we are, keeping them away, especially Spain and Portugal for us

I spoke with sleeptight today and have decided to go with them I hope to have the system fitted over the next ten days or so.

What I suggest is when I have had it installed I will give you full details of my experience on how it works and if it is any good or not so you can then decide yourself

I hope this helps

Many thanks for coming back, please do let me know how it goes and how effective it is. interested how loud the alarm is and if they could increase the volume after a period of the lights flashing, rather like a second level.
do let me know and best of luck

To All

The sleeptight fitters arrived at my home today around 10am they finished the installation around 7pm this evening.
The work was very professional all wires clipped to the bottom of the van both front and back all terminals fitted cable ties in the correct places as I said very very good.

They installed two systems for me
The first works on the entry door and on the hitch now if anybody approaches the caravan either by the door or the hitch to try and hitch the caravan to a vehicle an alarm sounds in my home and I am made immediately aware of somebodies presence.

The second system covers all the sides of the caravan front and back which includes all window entries and door entry if anybody approaches the caravan the lights start to flash then a buzzer sounds inside the caravan and an external alarm sounds until they move away from the caravan added to all the above I have a buzzer in my pocket that blleps for example if I am sitting drinking coffee in the service area letting me know that somebody is attempting to breach my caravan. This buzzer works up to a distance of 500 metres more that enough for a service area.

All in All I am very pleased with the whole system and the company I could have purchased a tracker but that would just be good after the caravan has been stolen this system will prevent the theft and has removed the need for a tracker anyway
I hope the above is of interest to all members of this forum

Trackers notify you that moment the caravan is move, not after they haev stolen it. Costs about the same as your system. Does your system have an independent battery?

In reply to your question no it does not have an independent battery it works of my leisure battery which is backed up by a large solar panel on the roof and 240 volt mains when on drive way or site

Secondly this system stops anybody driving away.

Are you saying that if the leisre battery was disabled or went flat for some reason the system would not work? Seems strange that there is no backup battery, even a small one hidden elsewhere in the caravan. Trackers normally have an independent battery in the event the main leisure battery is disabled for whateve reason.

If the power supply to the tracker fitted to our caravan fails or is interrupted by the removal of the leisure battery for example they telephone us immediately.

Always one kill joy, we know the aim is to stop even trying to get in, let the insurers worry when it is stolen, the aim is about damage and general inconveniance
