Hi

You don't specifically tell us, but I assume because this is a caravanning forum, you are asking about using a laptop in a caravan. Again you don't tell us how you were anticipating using the solar panel to connect to your laptop, or how much you will be using the laptop.

The standard N4050 needs a 19V supply with a 3.4A current which is a 65W capacity.

I will assume you intend to use the caravan battery as your main power reservoir, and to keep it recharged by a solar panel. I assume you have got a 12Vdc to 19Vdc converter to allow you to use your laptop in your car. (these are available on line or from some computer shops)

In normal usage a caravan battery can be kept topped up with a 60W solar panel. But the use of a laptop is not quite normal and will place an additional load on the supply, based on the power requirments of the laptop (65W) this means you would need a 120W to 180W solar panel.

This should push enough power into the caravan battery to allow the use of the laptop, but may not be enough for continuous use for 12 Hours.
