I'm not sure if the two facts are connected but at 21:35 topics which show "johnandrew70" to be the last contributor don't seem to open. Other topics are fine.

I have just looed at the posting you refer to and it has indeed gone.
I checked the database of postings and the original posting is there, as is the reply by the last poster, but I am guessing that the topic has been removed due to the wording in the last posting and general language used which is not in keeping with an open Forum run by a respected publisher.
The Publishers have the last word, and can, and do delete unsuitable postings.

The avatars and signatures were recently switched back on but unfortunately the current forum software severely limits the available capacity for them.
John had applied a rather good picture of his caravan as his avatar but had created his signature in blue bold font which exceeded the limit and this tends to make all the text on that forum page disappear too. I hope that Haymarket will sort out some of these software glitches soon.
I've re-copied the signature but it only appears now as an insipid grey colour although it leaves enough capacity for the avatar picture. I'll have a play around with it on Monday when I'm back to see if I can get John & Andrew's signature script to look a bit better without upsetting the software gremlins too much.
It looks as though the sun is out this weekend so have a nice weekend everybody, we will!
