South Lytchett Manor

Hi Guys,

I am thing of taking a trip to the Loire Valley in September for a couple weeks.

Our kids have flown the nest so its just me my wife and our caravan.

Can anyone got any suggestions regarding sites to stay.

We visited last year it is well positioned with good facilities the vans are sited each side of the camp site road, we were a little unfortunate as we ended up with a non grassed area under a tree. there is a camping area near the childrens play area and a field opposite that acts as a tent over flow area in the high season. there is a good gastro pub in the village. We enjoyed our stay and would be pleased to return.
 
We stayed there a few years ago and enjoyed the site when using the Poole to St Malo ferry a couple of times

We had a problem on our arranged return late one evening as the new barrier installed during our trip to France was closed and we had to stay on the grass verge inside the site overnight

Hopefully this is now resolved but could be worth checking if you intend to return after a late crossing
