Southern Ireland

Shirley, you cannot possibly tour Ireland in a month! We tried two years ago, and only managed bits of the south coast. There is just so much to see, and everything takes twice as long as it would over here. You just cannot rush life in Ireland.

Road surfaces vary from atrocious to fair! there are very few good roads. But you see, you don't go fast enough for that to be a problem( well not much of one anyway)If you need to ask directions, allow at least half an hour, cos the folk are so friendly! Sites, as everywhere, vary tremendously. but even the most basic are clean and well run.And the Guinness is great! It truly is a bewitching place. We hope to return in 2007, but it will be late August, and we'll be there for a month again. We hope to get up as far as Galway, but I'm not banking on it. Go, you won't regret it, but don't try to hurry. The leprechauns won't let you!

We live in N.Ireland and love touring here and the south. The roads are,nt that bad.Enjoy yourselves and take your time, you,ll love it.
