Apart from el delfin verdi which seems to get good reviews we are also looking at other site for our hols next year, one of them is LA TORRE DEL SOL and the other VILANOVA PARK, has anybody stayed at either of these parks and if so what was your experiance.

We would also welcome any recomendations for sites allthough with two teenage kids we are looking at the larger comercial sites within about a 400 mile drive of santander on the med side of spain. thanks very much.

Cambrils Park looks nice; I booked it for my summer hols this year but unfortunately had to cancel due to circumstances beyond my control. I am however having another go and booking for August 2007. The big advantage is you can book on line for 2007 now. It apparently gets booked up well in advance so it must be OK

we stayed at la torre twice, and personally, we won't be going back. its not a bad sight, but as its quite a way out of town people tend to stay on site of an evening = lots of drunk teens... not pretty.

we've also stayed at cambrils twice. Fantastic site in every way, we would go back.

haven't tried villanova, but have heard good reports.

whilst in spain this year we heard of another site 8kms north of tarragona and right on the beach which is supposed to be as good as cambrils (the site, not beach).

however, this area is now being spoilt at an alarming rate due to men with hard-hats and big cranes. there are flats, sorry, appartments, going up everywhere. the cambrils area was, a few years ago, beautiful. now? wouldn't give you 'tuppence for it.

I'd try Cambrils Park - have to agree with the above about the site - it is fabulous. Big pitches, plenty of shade, super pools, one at each end of the site, a good value, good food restaurant, supermarket, pizzeria, bar, evening entertainment but not until too late, and a short walk across the road to the beach. Each toilet block has a permanent cleaner, and the showers are plentiful, spacious, and hot!! There is also a sserviced laundry which will wash your clothes for a small fee, and iron them (for a larger one). Buses can take you into Cambrils or into Salou. It's an ideal situation for older teenages as there is plenty going on both on and off site. We went three times with our sons when they were teenagers, and each time had two or three others with (or join) us!

sounds great Val ,have they got a web site ,we are thinking of spending 6 weeks in Spain starting in January 2007
I don't think Cambrils Park is open until Easter 2007 - sorry. I'm sure if you can go later in the year you'll love it. Befpre Easter you may have to go much further south to find sites which are open all year. However, would recommend this site for anyone, couples (earlylater in the year) or families (high season).

Cambrils Park does have a website - just type Cambrils Park into Google or whatever, and it should come up. It's a very showy website - and highlights more of the Bungalows which are in a separate area to the touring pitches, so don't be put off.
