Hi I would like some advice on the best way to cure a very spongy floor, I have tried the normal method of drilling holes, filling with glue stuff and plugging this worked for a while but now it is just as spongy as ever. A fellow caravaner suggested cutting the top floor panel out replacing the insulation with celetex and putting new ply back over! The principal does not worry me as I am a carpenter. I would be glad of any comments of this method or any other suggestions. Also would anyone know the thickness of the insulation and ply used in a Lunar Freelander EW 2003? Thanks Tony

Two 6mm sheets of ply and a 25mm sheet of polystyrene laid as a sandwich will have no rigidity. It's the fact that they are bonded one to the other that gives the solid feeling. My guess is that when you did the injection of adhesive you either didn't use sufficient or maybe used the wrong type. My caravan floor was done four years ago and it's still quite firm.
Sir Sproket did his a while back. As usual he probably over engineered it but has a stronger floor than original. Hopefully he will tell you.

The main thing is when doing the job from underneath the van IMO is to shorten a drill bit so that you only have 40mm protruding from the chuck ( that way you will not drill right through the floor ) as it is only two bit's of plywood with a poystyrene infill, also you only have a limited amount of time due to the product curing. I did a dry run first to check that everything was going to plan with dowels put into all of the holes. When drilling I used a vacuum to clear all of the loose material out. I did not need to do all of this area but seeing that I had bought the glue & the dowels rather than waste it, I used it.
Make sure that you put some plastic sheeting on the floor before injecting the glue
Sand down all of those dowels flush & then re-seal the floor

I was quoted £270 to fully re-glue a floor in a 5 berth size van by the chaps next to Ridgeway Storage in Malvern. Ask around the local repairers and see what the costs are.
