Hello
I have a sprite alpine 4 2009 diamond anniversary model caravan, and our right hand indicator is not working, all the other lights are working. We checked it with a tow board and it worked. So it must be coming from the caravan side. Has anyone got a idea what we can do. We have cleaned all the sockets. We was due to go away today, but we would not drive with no indicator.
Thanks
Toni

That was my immediate thought , if you've cheked that another light board works from the towbar plug , but the caravan one doesn't ,
check the bulb ?... :eek:hmy:

Good advice from Clive and Craig but if that fails check the plug on the caravan, maybe with a 2009 model you are still on the 7 pin system. Notorious for water ingress and rust to cables.

Hi , a slight addition , Had this problem the other week with my small trailer i use for house waste etc , try spraying some WD-4o onto the plugs and that worked for mine , I still think the bulb may have blown though .
Good luck .

Sometimes a bulb will fail yet when you look at he filament it seems fine. The fault can be within the bulb itself. Easy to check by a quick swop with a working one.

Two additional possibilities. I replaced a clearly duff bulb with a new one that also didn't light - however as I removed it the soldered cap on bottom clearly was not well connected to the protruding wire, bulb 3 worked fine! Also my n/s was intermittent, taking the unit apart showed that the bulb was held in place against the sprung contacts by a 3 'legged' plastic clip that had become distorted and therefore loose. After placing it in a cup of boiled water I was able to straighten it back to original shape so that all three 'legs' clipped into the metal surround securely. Hope this makes some sense - easier to do than describe!
