We went to this site last year. Typical Cornish site, bit of a narrow lane to get there but nothing really taxing. No toilet block, pleasant laid out pitches, some were a bit boggy (but it was a wet summer).

Good coastal walks, but if you dont like walking then you may be rather bored unless you go out in the car.

It is about 1/2 mile from the Engine house stacks that you see in calendars, walk out of the site, turn left and they are down on the right a bi.

Will go again next year if we can fit it in.

Thanks Alex. We stayed at Trewethett Farm last year and loved the costal walks so this would be good. Is there any nice little pubs within walking distance? I can recommend the above site should you fancy a change?

Hi Dave

Spent two weeks here last August. Was a lovely site, some of the pitches a little close, but overall lovely layout. No toilet block etc, but not a problem for us. Was a little boggy in some places as Alex has said, but was wet summer. We had only 2 bad days in the fortnight!!! Can walk to the local village where there is a range of eateries and two Spar type shops plus numerous other independent shops, although easier by car. 5 mins by car or 15 min walk to the nearest beach - Chapel Porth(with lifeguards) with good surf etc. Also do surfing lessons there. There is a little shop at the beach too which does fab ice creams and also toilet facilities. Found it a good base for visiting all over Cornwall, went to Eden Project, Lizard, Padstow, St Ives, Truro etc. Good cycling area as well as walking the coastal path.

Site was easy to find, but the approach road is narrow so make sure you arrive at the stated times and follow the instructions because if you go wrong, you will get stuck in St Agnes village and it's not a route you want with the van on the back!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would return, although did look at Godrevy Park nearer to St Ives and would like a visit there.
