I mentioned our somewhat unsettling introduction to caravan ownership in my 'new member introduction'. Bought brand new July 2023, followed by excellent 3 weeks touring holiday, returned to storage, then stolen August 2023.
CAMC treated us very well, and we took delivery of a replacement (identical) new van in March this year.
I got quite a surprise phone call this afternoon, from a young (aren't they all?) police constable saying that our original caravan had been found in Humberside, and they were presently taking it to a storage compound there. All good condition, apart from some ineffective attempts to remove the CRIS ID. Obviously, it belongs to the insurance company now, not me. But it is a strange feeling, like we've gone through the 5 stages of loss, and now it's announced it's alive and well.
