Hi everyone. Im new to the world of touring caravans and wanted to see if anyone could help answer my questions.

Are there any ways I can sublet my caravan on a campsite?

I know I can use camplify to advertise it ect but the issue is they don't support a camper towing it. Its expected that we do this to the designated campsite. Camplify say i need to get permission from the campsite to let my caravan on the campsite.

Are there any ways I can store and or store and stay then when a customer on camplify booked my touring caravan. I can have the campsite pull it out a d set it up and thus pack away afterwards?

Is thete other ways around this. Im searching net but struggling to get the answers.

Thanks all.

Regards jay

As a landlord you will have to get public liability insurance. You will also have to get a gas safe engineer to certify the gas system is safe to use. You will also have to get a NICEIC registered electrician to issue an electrical safety certificate. You will have get written permission off the site owners, A lot of site owners have specific terms which prohibit the sub-letting of caravans on their site , also they may charge the two above engineers a fee for working on their site .

I wouldn't have thought sub-letting a touring caravan was a practical idea. To many pitfalls to fall into.
If you're serious about buying a caravan and sub-letting it to offset the cost I'd have thought you'd be better off looking at a static van and letting the site rent it out for you on dates you're not using it yourselves.
Having said that be extremely careful and make blooming sure you take a magnifying glass and read all the small print!
