Stowford Caravan Park, Devon (and Dornafield)

we have just booked a week at Stowford caravan park in Devon, for one week in August, i was just wondering if anybody had any experiences of this site. we have also got on at Dornafield, also in devon.

we have took what sites we could find, as most are solid now for the school holidays, since we have just bought a new caravan (we pick up on Thursday, im like a big kid waiting for Xmas !!)and we was going to wait till we dropped on the right caravan for us after selling our old one. so we didnt book anywhere. luckliy we found what we wanted straight away. (our local dealer is a gem!!!)

so just wondered if they are good sites and will they keep the kids happy so me and hubby can relax(well try as much as you can with 3 kids)

Spent 2 weeks at Stowford at start of June - The site is one of the best we have stayed at, that was our 3 trip there. Can't recommed it enough. Clean Shower blocks, good shop and restaurant, friendly staff in the reception and pub! Country Walks and horse riding. Caravan supply shop a bit dear. Surrounding area is beautiful.

You'll love it! Very big site but superbly equipped. We live in N Devon. If you want a good family pub try the Thatch at Croyde - they accept kids/dogs willingly and the food is good and great value. It's been really hot this week with Saunton Sands beach making the headlines as the hottest place in the UK at 33 degrees C. If you go there, make sure you arrive B4 11.00 otherwise the car park is full. Superb beach with about 5 miles of golden sands and great restaurant too. You could almost be in France!
