Just noticed little cracks in the front panel on the Pageant series 5.

They are about in line with the top of the window and on either side, is this a stress fracture and will it be sorted under the warranty ??

Advice please

John as long as you have complied with your warranty terms when you bought the van yes it should be done under the warranty, my mate down the road has a Pageant series 5 Bordeaux he didn't know about the problem is dealer found it and is replacing the front end this week under warranty, l think he said it took about 2 months to order up.

Agree with last poster, this concern with front panels has been around for years and still they cant get it right. Sure you will get the fault rectified under warranty but not without a lot of hassel and in-convenience to you the customer.

Wish we had a more effective media like Automotives that would chase up and publicise the brand names that are not taking remedial actions on their production lines to cure this problem.

Hi, spoke to dealer today, told him the van was bought in 2006...a long pause, ' well for the first three years it would be covered, not sure now it's just water ingress, bring it in and i will have a look and take some photos'.

Bought the van new in march 2006, kept all servicing up to date.

Dont let the dealer fob you off. You have sale of goods act on your side, along with a very long list of others who have had the same problem.

I sugest you put your concerns re the caravan in writing now and post it recoded delivery. This will show the dealer you are not to be fobed off and also it can act as the first step down the sale of good act of you need to.

Remember your rights

Hi John

Any progress?

See the following from Bailey's warranty.

"6 Year Body Shell Integrity Guarantee

All Bailey products are covered by a six year Body Shell Integrity Guarantee. Cover extends to the following items

Body Leaks & Delamination; water ingress through any permanently sealed seam and joints or delamination of panels and floor, being part of the original manufacturer's construction"

Body shell integrity as far as I am concerned includes failed body panels.

Don't let the dealer fob you off.

Cheers
