Summer Hols

We are trying to plan for our first summer hols away in the caravan. Has anyone any comments on any of the following parks?

Wild Duck Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth

Searles Leisure Resort in Great Yarmouth

Kiln Park in Tenby

The only one of the three I have visited is Wild Duck park and that was a good number of years ago. I believe it has been bought over by one of the larger holiday groups since I visited.

From what I can remember the pitches were set amongst woodland,didn't appear to be any semblance of order to it, just "pitch over there but not too close to any other van".There was an indoor pool on site which was also open to the public (charge applicable). There was a club on site which was quite dark and dingy. In all honesty I could not recommend it, but I must emphasis it was a number of years ago and things could have changed.

Hi Ewan, Long time since we went to Wild duck and I would agree with Robert. On a more positive note I would recommend Searles if you have a family as it has all the facilities of the chain type sites but still retains a family run feeling. The entertainment is fair to good and the ablutions have always been clean over the times that we have visited. On the flip side it can get booked up quite quickly so if you decide to go you aught to do it sooner rather than later.
