Hi to all at "Swift" and like minded caravan owners.

I am the owner of an Ace Jubilee Envoy 2007 and have had water ingress through the lower door seal, which has resulted in the inner door sill cover, (Deemed as Wire Cover by Swift) suffer from delamination, (not good!!). After much discussion with many at Swift, it was decided that the van has been suffering from "Condensation" and they would send me parts via my local dealer to rectify this problem. I have today inspected these parts and they are the bottom moulded sections of the new

"Flyscreen", without the screen, 2008 / 2009 models! These parts without doubt, will remove any water that gets into the van from the said area, because of the built in Drain, which would result in another hole being drilled through the floor.

But the water would still get into the van, via Two "V" shaped

cuts in the "Lower Door Seal at Sill level". The Door seal needs to be continuous, without and any "Cutaways" and so preventing Water Ingress in heavy rains and windy conditions.

Until now, all contacts with Swift have been more than helpful

but we seem to be missing the point of "Water Ingress" and not

"Condensation".

To fit the bottom mouldings / drain of the 2008 / 2009 model flyscreen will not look right, (they have been made to fit with the complete screen and not on their own). Maybe the new wire cover would be OK but not the drain, without modifification!!

In conclusion, Swift, please send a replacement Lower Door Seal

to my local dealer, "Without The "V" Shaped Cuts", and in turn rectify the ingress, then all should be OK.

Has anyone out there been suffering the same problem and been

told that it is something different.

We would be very interested to know.

Regards to all

Anton and Mo

its probably not the door seal, the seal needs the v shape cuts in , dont bother with that

what you might find as i have seen something similar, for that part to be water swollen, if you pull the seal off the aluminium

door frame(carefully) you will probably find where a fixing hole/rivet for the kick plate has been drilled through allowing water to run around the door frame and as some frames slope slightly backwards the water runs in, I personally have rectified the problem and it works

let us know what you find

its a quick job not worth taking in the dealership but get the parts off them/swift
