I have to agree with you David regarding the superb service from Swift.

I was one of the first people to find the problem they had with the battery charger - from the Italian supplier. It was sorted out the same evening whilst I was away on site at nine o'clock in the evening and not to forget the help of Chicester Caravans.

I also had a technical problem which was sorted out on line by Swift.

After 72 years, I have never had service such as this from any company, any where, and I have spent some time in America the land of supposed super service.

Keep it up Swift - you have customer service spot on, and from me - very many thanks for all of your help.

Very pleased to hear about the excellent service from Swift but for 18 months I have been ignored by them and had to rely on a dealer to effect repairs. I refer to a brand new caravan which developed faults from the outset (at present over 30) for which I have had to travel a 100 mile round trip several times involving considerable time and expense. Now that it has been found that the 'van has extensive damp, Swift have decided to take it back to their factory for repairs but not for three months.

Has anyone else had such a rogue 'van from the Swift Group ?

Hello alex,The short answer to your question is yes,I to bought a lemon. It was a Abbey Vogue GTS416.

1,The gaps in the doorway were unbelievable.

2,The door was a different shade of colour.

3,BUT THE MAIN REASON!was while I was fitting the under Floor spare wheel carrier,I noticed that there was 2 patches of a underseal sealer substance covering what looked liked 6 inch holes that had been cut into the floor.

I suspected that the floor of my van had previously been meant for a van / model with a different lay/out,I was not happy about this.

Swift was contacted and send their mobile inspector/quality control guy to my home to inspect it,where He expressed his displeasure at the quality of the van.He said that would report back to dept head, but I soon received a letter from Swift stating that the van had been built to their standards and that it was Clased as fit for use etc.

My supplying dealer and myself come a compromise deal, which meant that I paid the differance between my van and a later model.

Hope this Helps.

Anthony.
