Has anyone out there experienced the same problem as me with a Swift or similar. Everytime I take out the toilet cassette there is a water or "liquid" residue on top of the cassette and down the sides which in turn means that on each occasion I have a major clean up everytime I empty the loo!

It is the new type with the wheels and pull out handle if that helps.

It isn't a major problem at the moment as I wuld like to cure it befor it get's worse, incidentaly, the van is 6 months old

tom, i hate to ask this but when using it do you open the flap and wee down it or wee down it when its closed then open it?

we was weeing down it then opening the hatch we was told this was wrong as on all new van you must open the hatch then wee because of the problems you are having apparently.

good luck

HI Both,

Thanks for your reply, on a personal note I,m afraid that we tend to keep the slide shut and then open when finished, so to speak, so I never thought of opening the slide before and after so will try that method to see if it stops it leaking, but another pointer is that we use the headertank wih a rinse aid which we tend to leave in the bowl after use.

The cassette goes into it's slot and then the handle clicks into place so I assume that it's in the correct position, and I would have thought leaving it open whilst using wouldn't be very hygenic
