Hi all..I am new to this site as from today, I need some advice from anyone who owns a Swift Gazelle F63 2001, I purchased this vehicle October 2015, it is my first motorhome but I have had concerns with the inside of rear wheel arches being very close to the tyres which I didn't notice until few weeks later ,You can just get your finger in the gap so it is probably just under an inch, several mechanics have looked at it and said it would have been would have been made like this but I am still worried, I had a rear blowout a few weeks ago which was not a nice experience but was told it was not down to this as damage was on inside of the tyre, because of blowout I had to have flooring repaired therefore gap is still close, does anyone else have this problem as I am now worried about driving vehicle at high speeds, maybe blowout was caused by dodgy tyre as I know motorhomes can sit around more than they are used...any advice would be great, thanks.

Can't help regarding the specific van, but just picking up your last point:
You replace car tyres when the tread wears too thin. But motorhomes often do much lower mileages (unless you're me!). So it's important to replace them when they simply get OLD. Cracks on the sidewall are a giveaway, but also there should be a year of manufacture stamped on them. I can't remember offhand what the maximum safe age is, but seven years sticks in my mind. Maybe someone can confirm or correct that? Anyway, tyres CAN be unsafe simply through old age, even if they have plenty of tread left.
