I feel I had to put in a review about this site on the outskirts of Callander in the Trossachs.

We were looking for a site within an hours travel to go for weekends or long weekends and decided to try The Gart.
I'm so glad we did. We've been twice this year so far and look forward to many more visits.
The reception area is just inside the main gate. They have some vending machines here as well as the main reception for booking in. The staff are always very pleasant and helpful.
On both our visits, we were told we could have any vacant pitch we wanted but I can imagine it would be very busy during the main holiday period. We used the same pitch both times as we liked it. Near enough the showers and looking towards the wooded area. The pitch we used had its own water tap next to the EHU point.
The showers/toilets are the cleanest we've seen. They are modern with lots of showers and toilets exclusively for the tourers.
There is no restaurant/entertainment onsite but that's what we wanted.
There is a kids play area which is covered so can be used when it's raining(it is in Scotland ;)

There are some really nice walks round the site with the River Teith running at the bottom of the site site where the statics are(around 15-20)
Callander town centre is about a mile away and is worth a visit.

If you are looking for a friendly, peaceful site to stay when in the Trossachs, I'd highly recommend The Gart.

I can totally endorse all of these comments about the Gart. It is an object lesson to other site owners as to how it should be done, and I'm sure all the staff have been to charm school.
We've been there three times now, and it has been the same each time.
Definitely one of the best.
