been looking on done deal. IE at private sales for caravans,and my what a bunch.prices all over the place.hobby range from 10 to 5 grand only one year between vans,a wilk with newly installed bunk beds the sort you would use at home.a 2002 eldis with a boat shaped roof,some very old classics as well.well i am not that clued up on vans but even i am starting to wonder about some of these.though there are some very good vans and at a fair price as well,just some are a bit different.got me chuckling anyway.tere are some good deals though as well.

well i was only making a point that is was an Irish site and on looking through it,things are not quite what they seem,people may be accidentally putting up ages wrong or its a bit of a stretch.but look up the wilk[that is a make of van]and it does have metal bunk beds]seams OD to us being ex pats and all.maybe the Irish do it differently, no offence was meant have a look yourself.

I agree that some folk, wherever they are, can "exaggerate" the age of a van, but that is relatively easy to check.
As for Hobby and Wilk vans, yes they are different.
Hobby prices vary as to whether or not it is a "Dry" van, that is, has no water installed as standard(no washroom, toilet, sink, water heater) and is only used as a living area and sleeping area (a lot of Germans(Hobby is a German van) will only use site facilities and will not cook or use water in their vans )
Wilk as you have seen, do use metal bunks, very much like domestic versions, and many of the bigge euro vans have domestic sized fridges, cookers, some even have washing machines.
There are some good deals to be had, but caution is always the watchword.
