Not on the scale that some folks here have used this weapon but.....

The nearest DIY shop to me is 130 miles away but I happened to go past one a couple of weeks back, on my travels, so bought a tube of silicon sealant at £4.98.

Got it home and found it was solid all the way through. On checking, the manufacturing date was 2020 and the shelf life 24mths. Not wanting to take it back via a 260 mile round trip I looked at the suppliers web site and found I could return it using a courier that they would arrange. So I tried this and a sense of dread set in as the courier was EVRI ones favourite. However, they did turn up to collect the parcel just a day late but then it dissappeared into EVRIspace.

A few weeks on and the supplier - who's name has a railway connotation - hadn't got it and EVRI's tracking just stated they'd got it and it was on its way to the supplier.

I emailed the supplier about my refund and was told that in order to get the refund I'd need to take it to a shop - completely missing the point that it was now in the hands of the courier. We went around this loop several times. Eventually after providing the supplier with a tracking number, they agreed a refund but I'd have to go into the shop with my card to get it as they couldn't do it online.

At this point in the game I asked what was the point in using a courier to send it back if I still had to go to the shop to get the refund. So, I got a little bit stroppy and started pointing out that other vendors that sold on line and in shops could issue refunds on line no problem - then dropped the CRA2015 bombshell that says I can have a repair of replacement without any inconvenience to me. A 260 road trip for a £5 item is certainly inconvenient.

Within a couple of minutes they had sent out a replacement which is supposed to arrive today.

Although every time I get notified that my delivery is with Evri, I cringe, but for the last two years, all deliveries have been fine.
And returns by Evri, I take either to our local Post office or CoOp. And they sort it all out.

Same here. Today I had a delivery scheduled by Evri and I was working in the back garden. I didn’t hear the door bells ringing as I did not have my aids in, and the kitchen door was shut, so the double glazing nulled the bells. But the courier must have seen me through the lounge windows and came to the rear gate and called me. Quite chuffed over 10 kg of chicken pellets.
