Thetford Fridge Heating Element

Hi,

I need to replace the 240 VAC heating element on my Thetford N80 fridge. Anyone know where there are some some handy instructions on how to do this? I've had a look on their website and can't seem to find the right fridge !! Thanks

Ian, I think I am right in that to replace the heater the fridge has to come out, which means breaking a gas union, and for this reason Thetford will not give instructions as they do not want to be held responsible for anything which may go wrong if done by an uncertificated gas fitter, be that CORGI or AcOPS (or UKAS as it is now)

Hi Damian,

Thanks for the info. Is there likely to be a flexible gas hose of some description going to the back of the fridge, so that I can pull the fridge out and then remove the gas supply? Or is likely that I will need to remove the gas supply before I commence removing the fridge?
