Any one experianced unscrewing the complete Thetford W/C unit (8 screws i think) and replacing the complete lighting harness for the LED full warning light. How easy is it to clip the light into position and get the cable through. Seems as if ou have to get a hand into the unscrewed flush lever access !!!

Thanks wayne

We never let ours get to this level and think the indicator pretty pointless as you can see when it is getting full.

I am a big strong chap and prefer not to carry it when full anyway because of the weight.

My advice - don't bother.

Wayne,

Why do you have to replace the complete harness?

Jim
Hi Jim,

The tank full light has failed and it can be a number of faults, magnet, wiring, LED, batterys or battery housing. Hence Thetfrd say it is cheapest and best overall to just swap the complete harness. Clearly from the lack of responses i must be an unlucky minority

Wayne I sorted the same problem a few weeks ago. Solution, on top of the toilet is a panel with the flush button in, this in stuck down with none setting adhesive prise this up with a wide blade, putty knife or similar. Now you will see a piece of plastic held with four self tapping screws, take this off and you are there. so simple I stuck the panel back and used the same adhesive, You can buy all the bits on line at Waubys and other places. Wayne,

I agree with j.lo.

A mobile caravan engineer told me that a lot of the time the light just falls out of position and all you have to do is remove the sticky label top by pushing down hard in the middle of it and peeling off. Then refit the light.

This is why I asked you why you had to replace the entire loom

jim, I dont think you would get this cover off by pushing it. underneath this cover are two posts sticking up to stop it from being pushed down if you get a bit heavy handed when you push the flush button. I must add, to anyone thats interested that once this cover is removed you can get at the pump. A service bay charged over
