Tickling the Ivories

Went to visit a client in our new state of the art hospital today. I was greeted with the most beautiful LIVE piano recital upon a RESIDENT grand piano as I walked through the concourse to the ward.

There I found my client, 94 years young, with ingrowing toenails which affected his mobility and were causing him great pain. He had asked for a chiropodist for some time to no avail, extremely lonely and isolated due to severe deafness. He has no family to speak on his behalf, he was left alone staring into space with his NHS pjs on.

Just where are we going in this country?

A disollusioned NHS worker.

I thought it was a joke til i read it again,how tragic.I had an appointment at Northampton Hospital on Monday afternoon and an old lady asked a porter to take her to the second floor in the lift to visit a friend in Eleanor Ward.He said he was only going to first floor and didnt understand she was scared of going in the lift on her own.we went up with her and pointed her towards the ward.Its rare to find people in the NHS with real compassion,just concerns about meeting targets,probably a bit harsh but thats my experience

C'mon, get real.

He's just some old fart who has lived through most of the notable events of the 20th century, including WW1 & WW2, the great depression, hunger marches, and the iniquity of the means test. A Briton who supported his country through war and peace, helping to build a better world for the generations who would follow him.

He's not an immigrant, nor an asylum seeker - why!, I'm willing to bet that he's even a Christian!

Common sense should tell you that, to the builders of New Britain, he's worthless detritus who should do the decent thing and die bore he wastes even more taxpayers money that could be better spent on asylum seekers.

Does he hate Britain?, does he spit on those who feed and clothe him?, does he insist that the laws of Britain are modified to accommodate his religious and cultural beliefs? - of course not!, so why waste valuable resources on him?.

Let him go away, and let's get on with increasing diversity and multi-cultural enrichment.
