Tips on buying new caravan

Hi I am thinking of buying a series 5 Bailey Pagent, my first new van.

My local dealers list price is £12000 inc delivery.

Can I expect to be be able to haggle with him on this price? If so by how much?

Also if we ordered now, it would not be delivered until November, would we be better waiting until the caravan show in February at the N.E.C., and would we get a better price?

You will not get a lot knocked off a new van, due to demand for new vans, just take a look at second prices and how bouyant they are. You should easily get the deliv charges knocked off and a bit more, but also press for extras like spare wheel, cd player, alloy wheels (if not fitted) and also essential extras like waste/water carriers, battery gas bottle etc etc. I managed to get the deliv and fancy extras + a wad of cash knocked off but only 20% reduction on essential extras.
