Toilet faults

Hi Our toilet will not stop flushing, have removed circuit board by switch, switch it working, cleaned terminals etc still flushing. Any ideas, I am not technically competent thank you.

It would help if you gave the make and model of toilet and/or the same + year of the caravan, Toilet make and model is usually on a label inside the waste container housing.

The board in the top of the tank often suffers due to the damp environment it is situated in. If you replace the board seal it with PCB laquer to water proof it. Some people just bypass the board altogether and just fit a push button switch to operate the pump

Also there is a 'anti syphon valve in the flush tank , which allows air into the pump tube to stop the flush emptying into the bowl once the pump stops . If this has been 'gunged' up ( biofilm build up) it will give a similar fault to the one the OP is describing , particularly if the toilet (pumps) fuse is pulled in the EHU and the flushing continues.
