Tollymore Forest Park, Newcastle Co Down

Booked for 3 nights this bank holiday weekend, stayed 1, and quickly moved on.

A great wee site gone badly down hill.

But excellent if you need a bit of tar put down badly, if you get my drift!!!

Apparently the visitors know how to work the Reg`s, and even managed to call at the rangers HOME, to make a booking, when the office was closed, so needless to say, he`s not a happy bunny.

Just read you comment about Tollymore and wanted to say that we stayed there 2 weeks ago having never been before. We did see some of the folks mentioned but have to say they kept themselves very much to themselves and one was even parked close to us (separated by a tree) and we had no problems with them. The site was full when we stayed and we would go back and those folks wouldn't put us off staying. Have you ever been to Castlewellan Forest Park and how did you find it? as we are going in a few weeks time. Having worked in the caravan park industry for a good few years I must say it is now nice to be on the other side of the counter, although just finding our feet around the different sites.

Apparently their are two different groups who stay, one group are as you say pleasant, the others not so.

As for Castlewellan, well, apparently it also used to be good also,but with the maximum stay on these sites being two weeks, you may find you will bump into the same faces.
