Touring Park Prices Over The Top, going up an up

hi been looking for touring sites in differnet areas for from the season when we start in april and the tarrifs seem to be going up an up some site want £20 or more for a night with caravan and 2 people

do others think they are going over the top

when you keep going for weeks at a time as we do we need to find cheaper sites and ones with special offers or we go on rallies

anyone else been looking at site tarrifs and what do you think

Yes I think that UK campsite prices are ridiculous.

In many cases all one gets is a space in an open field with n EHU and a toilet block.

I think this compares VERY UNFAVOURABLY with many continental campsites with their range of facilities even on smaller sites. I. also, like the use of trees and hedges on Continental sites which give privacy and shade as well as giving a more visually pleasing appearance. UK sites' lack of facilities is not reflected in lower prices either

It is ironic really that UK sites are the ones that need the extra amenities because of UK weather. Ironically on the Continent I often don't use the extra facilities as I sitting out side in the sunshine!!
